Reflexology world-wide

International co-operation between reflexologists is important and beneficial for many reasons: It helps promote reflexology as an effective health therapy; the sharing of experiences, knowledge, research and theories strengthens the professional identity of reflexology.

FDZ takes an active part in the international reflexology community through our International Committee. Among other activities we are involved with the following organizations:

Reflexology in Europe Network (RIEN)

RIEN is a network made up of European reflexology associations. Until now 30 associations from 16 different countries have joined the network.
RIEN is a platform for better communication between the various organisations in the field of reflexology in Europe. Its activities consist of organising a biennial congress, seeking influence in the European Parliament on behalf of the recognition, exchanging experiences, stimulating research and supporting organizations in difficulties, all in the field of reflexology.

For more information please contact RIEN chairperson Daphne Gardner, 23 Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead, Surrey SM7 3EY, United Kingdom, tel/fax: +44 1737 360314, email: daphne.gardner@totalise.co.uk

Nordic Reflexology (Zonetherapy) Network (NRN)

Nordic Reflexology (Zonetherapy) Network is aiming to enhance co-operation between reflexologists in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Faeroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) taking advantage of the similarities in language and cultural background. NRN arranges an annual seminar with changing subjects. The last seminar was held in Bergen, Norway in April 2001. An important outcome of this meeting was an agreement on common minimum educational standards in the Nordic countries.

International Council of Reflexologists (ICR)

ICR is working on a world wide basis. Members are individual reflexologists.
ICR is dedicated to providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information; promoting and convening a biennial international conference and supporting the development of local and regional associations and conferences they sponsor.
